The following was written by Mei.
The main character of the game, he has no "official" name, meaning you're free to decide what name the protagonist can go by
(However, in the manga counterpart, his name is Seta Souji). In the beginning, the "protagonist" is seen boarding a train to temporary live with his uncle Dojima and his daughter for a year.
Chie greets the protagonist and lets him sit beside her in the classroom after he gets some verbal abuse by Teacher Morooka. She's a friendly girl with a upbeating personality,
and is often seen mocking Yosuke or hanging out with Yukiko.
Chie is often associated with Kung Fu, which is mainly why she uses greaves and boots for weapons.
Chie gains Tomoe after dealing with Chie's Shadow, which manifested due to her jealousy of Yukiko's feminine side and appreciations.
After many events, Chie learned that she wanted to protect people, mostly because of her desire to protect Yukiko. It's a possibility that at the end of the game, Chie decided to work as a police officer and work under Dojima, possibly in place for Adachi.
Chie's role in the party is as the Ice-element member of the party, honing powerful physical skills. As a sidenote, Chie isn't as skilled in Ice magic as Teddie, basically all Chie will learn is the Bufula and Mabufu, while Teddie takes over and learns the rest.
Chie is a valuable member when you need to rely on physical attacks.
Yukiko maintains the Amagi Inn along with her family, and is often so busy that she comes to school late. Yukiko seems to be very shy and not talkactive at first but shows her real self to her best friend, Chie.
While she's also a "beauty" in the class, many times boys have attempted to ask her out and she rejects them all, which made people think she was a cold individual.
Yukiko is the 3rd victim, but gets rescued by the Protagonist, Yosuke and Chie and earns Konohana Sakuya. After resting for a period of time, she eventually joins the investigating team and expresses her true nature, such as her whimsical laughing matter she only showed to Chie. Yukiko is a responsible person who works hard for the Amagi Inn, but she fears many times that she's letting her mother down and she's afraid of the future.
Yukiko is a very kind person and cares a lot for her friends. In battle, Yukiko might be the most important member of the party; she's the most skilled healer and carries strong fire magi.
Rise is the new idol who takes shelter in Inaba to maintain her hiatus. She decides to stay with her grandmother to help her with Marukyu Tofu Shop, but when the local students find out that
she was vacationing in Inaba, she tries to hide and avoid being seen in public. Rise is a cheerful girl who just wants to have fun, but shows an unsocial affection towards everyone when they try to warn her
about being kidnapped. She gets happy when they tell her to be careful but Rise in the end falls into the TV. Many sources told the group that Rise disliked her image,
that no one liked Rise, but rather her image, "Risette". Rise eventually tried to quit her career but she realized she couldn't handle someone else being more popular,
and by the help of the protagonist, she will retain her career but focusing more on showing "Rise, the girl from Inaba".
Rise gains Himiko when saved, and eventually takes over as the supportive character after Teddie.
